About the Area
The Stafford Gymnastics Center is located in southern Stafford County and is part of the historic Fredericksburg, Virginia area. Stafford was the boyhood home of George Washington and the area is famous for its colonial, Revolutionary, and Civil War period history. Stafford offers wineries, dining, and shopping, and the Stafford Gymnastics Center is within 3 miles of both the acclaimed Riverside Dinner Theater and Gari Melchers’ Home and Studio at Belmont Museum.

Many hotels and restaurants are within a mile of the gymnastics center. Within 5-10 miles is great shopping at Stafford Marketplace, Spotsylvania Towne Centre, Central Park, and downtown Fredericksburg. Just 25 minutes up I-95 is the National Museum of the Marine Corps, where “world-class interactive exhibits using the most innovative technology surround visitors with irreplaceable artifacts and immerse them in the sights and sounds of Marines in action.” Admission to the museum is free.

The Royals competitive team trains female gymnasts in JO levels Training 4 through Optionals as well as a Virginia All Stars/VAOP team. The Royals are members of both USAG and VAUSAG and have been training competitive gymnasts for over four decades.
